June 6 Worship Service , Congregation in Praise & Prayer, Pastor Ron's Message, and Communion

June 20 worship service

IT IS A DAY FOR CELEBRATION!!!!!

First: We have reached a stage in Coronavirus Pandemic where those of us who have received our full vaccination are able to finally gather without the restrictions of face masks and social distancing lifted.  We are able to see each other's smiles and feel the warmth of a hug.  While the storm is not over, we weathering it.

Second: It is Father's Day.  Last month we celebrated Mother's Day.  This month the focus turns to our fathers.  It is good to honor and remember those who raised us, taught us the basics of living as we grew and matured, nurtured and cared for us, and finally sent us out in to the world.  As we age we look back and see there was much more wisdom than we imagined at the time.

Third: It is right to remember that we have a father in heaven who is still looking after us.  Our God is there with us every single hour, of every moment, of ever day.  For that reason I included Michelangelo's painting (1508-1512) from the Vatican's Sistine Chapel ceiling as God reaches out to Adam and gives him the spark of life.  A father who is always with us.

Join us for our June 20th Father's Day Worship Service.

Mission Program of the Month:  Front Porch

refresh

In this time of COVID-19 the dynamic of worship is evolving from using ZOOM for studies and meetings to worshiping outside on Sunday mornings under the shade tree.

Wednesday evenings, starting September 16, we will be asked to join with members of First Presbyterian and  Living Hope Church in Port Hueneme to hold a time for prayer, music and message on ZOOM.

This period of about an hour is going to focus on scripture, how the gospel message fits in our lives today, spending time with our Lord in prayer, and even some special music.

At 7:00 PM on Wednesday, click on the Refresh picture above.  Your computer screen will be taken to the ZOOM website.  Type in the Meeting ID: 94 7018 5467 and click JOIN.  You will then be asked to activate  the launch application (zoom.us), click Open Link.  Next you will asked to type in the Password:  JESUS, and click JOIN.

And instantly you will join the family.  Have a Blessed time.
